Children’s AIDS Health Program’s first journey to South Africa has begun! After a lengthy 19 hour flight, the long-awaited mission could finally begin. Shamin Mohamed Jr. (Founder/President) and Betty Chiu (Executive Director) were fortunate enough to have Abraham Kriel Maria Kloppers and Emdeni Children’s Home graciously provide them with accommodation and support for the first portion of the trip. With their help and support, Shamin and Betty were able to visit the Cotlands Orphanage and were welcomed by the 70 children there, each with a unique and different experience that they were willing to share.
It was wonderful and touching to see the eagerness of these children and their wonderful open-mindedness in a city that is troubled with AIDS.
