Development Coordinator (Fundraiser)

Salary: 17.60 per hour
Summary
LetsStopAIDS is a Canadian youth-HIV charity that focuses on HIV prevention and knowledge exchange by engaging young people and fostering leadership. Since 2004, we have been creating a global network of youth-HIV leaders.
Employment Term: 8 weeks (35 hours per week)
Candidates must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
Responsibilities
- Support fundraising and donor engagement activities
- Assist with grant writing, tracking, and reporting
- Maintain donor and fundraising databases
- Help plan and coordinate fundraising events and campaigns
- Communicate with donors, sponsors, and community partners
- Prepare reports, emails, and promotional materials
- Work with the team to meet fundraising goals
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Experience with administration or fundraising (an asset)
- Comfortable using spreadsheets and databases
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
- Interest in nonprofit work, fundraising, or community development
