Summary
As a Sexual Health Workshop Facilitator, you will become our voice to youth-HIV information and knowledge. You will be part of a team encouraging youth to create leadership opportunities within their local communities. You will learn about HIV, and become champions to develop new content made for youth!
Our preference is that you are a youth aged 15-29, but if you are not, you can still apply!
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the P2P Manager, the Sexual Health Workshop Facilitator will be:
- Collaborating with the P2P team on delivering workshops and educational programmes.
- Support the P2P team with all supplies for the educational session (LetsStopAIDS' workshop materials, attendance list, pens, papers and others), organizing the room and guaranteeing that all material needed will be there and at the right place.
- Supply health information and information packs to youth and teachers/service providers related to HIV.
- Support in the development of new and/or tailored versions of the workshops.
- Work cooperatively as a member of a diverse team, attend regular P2P meetings and keep up to date with relevant information.
- Research organizations and groups to collaborate or facilitate with, and outreach to partnered organizations.
Qualifications
- Strong communications skills to encourage the youth to create leadership opportunities within their communities
- Passionate about sexual health, creating a judgement-free and safe space for youth to ask questions, and be driven to create new methods to better engage with other youth.
- Learn about HIV and STBBIs, and become champions to develop new content made for youth.
- Demonstrate an understanding and incorporate anti-racist and anti-discriminatory practices at all points of the programming.
- Understanding of intersecting identities and how this will guide youths' access to services.
- Able to collaborate with the P2P team in-person and/or online.
- Second language is an asset.

Dedication
The role will require 3-6 hours per week. This role also requires attending a weekly team meeting (virtual or in-person). Preference will be given to individuals with lived experiences, relating to HIV.
