Social Media Coordinator (Social Media Community Manager)

Summary
LetsStopAIDS is a Canadian youth-HIV charity that focuses on HIV prevention and knowledge exchange by engaging young people and fostering leadership. Since 2004, we have been creating a global network of youth-HIV leaders.
Responsibilities
- Writing, developing, and executing social media strategies for projects, programs, or events – in addition to any news that is of importance to our audience
- Collaborate with the Social Media team as well as the Digital Marketing Specialist to present LetsStopAIDS' personality and mission, while conversing with our audience, moderating and kicking off conversations, and piquing interest in the organization
- Assist in delegating tasks and assignments within the Social Media Team
- Stay up to date with any updates, trends, and news with ongoing conversations about tech, and social media
- Ensure content for social media is strategically planned out and catered to bring in organic audiences
Qualifications
- Experience using social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Strong written and visual communication skills
Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva or Adobe tools) - Ability to create engaging content (posts, reels, stories)
- Understanding of social media trends and analytics
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Basic knowledge of branding and marketing
