A 24 Hour Spotlight on HIV Awareness

Launch Year

2004

As LetsStopAIDS's earliest initiative, we put young people and HIV awareness at the core of the programme

The 24 Hour Wake is an annual event hosted by Canadian high school students within their own communities. As LetsStopAIDS's earliest initiative, we put young people and HIV awareness at the core of the programme. Students are called to the forefront to lead their peers in various activities and knowledge exchange for 24 hours. The programme aims to spotlight HIV awareness and encourage student discussions. Through workshops, interactive sessions, and a variety of engaging activities, students learn and confront challenges related to HIV and STBBIS.

During the 24 Hour Wake, students engage in different activities to better understand HIV and its impact on our communities. They participate in interactive workshops and discussions aimed at enhancing their knowledge and dispelling misconceptions about HIV.

The 24HourWake programme demonstrates students' dedication to combating HIV-related stigma. They collaborate, engage in discussions, and participate in activities that promote learning and raise awareness about HIV. It's all about teamwork and making a genuine difference in our communities.
